Hello again :) I don't think I've ever owned a skirt that sat lazily right above my ankle. It's either I wear maxi skirts (rare) or knee length skirts (often) or mini skirts (seldom). Buying this super duper midi skirt was a first, a risk I'm glad I took. I was having a little retail therapy to stock up on tops so in a sense, yes, this skirt was the distraction I could not pass up. My initial reaction to this skirt was that it made me look |straight| because my hips are not pronounced but I liked it too much to leave it behind. Firstly, it was navy blue. Secondly, the fabric is amazing! It is stretchy but still thick enough to maintain its shape on you. Thirdly, it has a zipper at the back, in place of a slit. So you can wear it with or without a "slit". Who doesn't love options?
To dress this skirt up, I wore it with a nice coral top (looks pink in the pictures), a longline sleeveless trench coat and a pair of coral and tan sandals I've owned for a year. I got the blazer after my many failed attempts at buying a sleeveless camel coat for Winter. I never found one that was long enough and within my budget. Then I realized it was Spring.
