Spring Break 2014 : 1 of 5

Where do I start from? You know it's unusual for me not to post for an entire week but I promise it was worth it - 7days at sea on the most relaxing Spring Break I’ve ever had. I had no idea where I was headed but on the Sunday after my final exams, I packed my suitcase in faith and went along with my friend, Lamzzz (you've seen her before here). This Spring Break had to be special so we chose to go on a vacation cruise with Norwegian Dawn, a ship from the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet. We got to the port, checked-in and boarded the ship in record time; it was not half as strenuous as I thought it would be. The ship undocked rather peacefully. We wouldn’t have noticed that we were leaving Tampa behind had it not been for our balcony.

I know you're thinking exactly what we thought when we tried to book this cruise - why should we pay extra just to get a room with a balcony? It so happened that we let one person handle the reservations (Lamzzz) and that saved us the drama of decision making that comes with group travelling; I highly recommend this approach. Best decision ever! If you can't afford a room with view, don't push it - there's an outdoor space with a nice view on different decks.

We spent the next day and a half completely at sea so we took advantage of what the ship offered. We attended multiple shows including the welcome show, wandered around the ship, played Sudoku and crossword (provided by the library), got lost and ate A LOT of food!. Free food never tasted so good! 4 of the 10 restaurants on-board served free food and 1 was open 24/7. We were pretty stuffed by the end of the first 2 days, everyone was. Day 3 in Roatan, Honduras couldn't arrive soon enough. 2014-03-23 18.09.44

I know I just had you thinking of a cruise vacation so leave a comment if you'd like me to create another post reviewing the Norwegian Dawn (with pictures of course) ;)
